Inus Technology presents rapidformXO Redesign software

Ever more 3D-Scanner offer the possibility of seizing physical objects and of providing on it based CAD and CAE models. But most CAD programs cannot process this Scandaten directly meaningfully.

Therefore specialized software is necessary for the 3D-Scandatenverarbeitung. Some applications concentrate on it, the large data sets, which supply the scanners to convert into models which are useful for CAD software also. But these surface models do not seize the design features of the bodies in such a way that they can be also modified later. Punktwolken, polygon networks and surface models are neither parametric nor contain them the design features of the gescanten construction units.

The new software rapidformXOR (R stands for Redesign) the Korean offerer Inus Technology Inc. however 3D-Scandaten on fastest and shortest way is to be able to transform into high-quality parametric CAD models. The software is presented to the German specialized public in May on the control fair in Sinsheim (8. -, to 3, conditions 3203 resound to 11.5.2007). is already available rapidformXOR in English language, at the German version one works.

Users had to make the sorrowful experience that the attempt is too detail-poor to process 3D-Scandaten in their existing CAD software it rather handicapped or the result, in order to be usable.

Genuine CAD models from 3D-Scansoftware

In order to work on large punktwolken and Polygonmaschendatenstze effectively, specialized software is necessary. Various products developed, which are to work on particularly 3D-Scandaten. But with them it does not concern real CAD applications, and they cannot supply producible technical models. Each existing Reverse engineering software uses a NURBS Oberflchenmethodik, in order to provide CAD finished models. This NURBS technology can convert the 3D-Daten indeed into a format, CAD software understands. But much more also not: Such systems cannot add the data design features. The NURBS technology is hardly more than one conversion of format from Punktwolken or polygon networks to NURBS surfaces. The result are static, stupid models, which are useful for few applications with difficulty to edit and only.

Parametric CAD modelling and durable 3D-Scan-Bearbeitung

radipdformXOR pursue the elegantly simple concept, so the Inus developers to provide from 3D-Scandaten a technically applicable parametric CAD model and use thereby those same in principle technology, which was originally used, in order to design the scanned object. With rapidformXOR one reconstructs the object literal with the help of the 3D-Scandaten, which serve draft component as integrals. The result is a genuine parametric CAD model with technical characteristics, which illustrate exactly the physical object.
