The thesis (diploma) was made in the research center of the company Carl Zeiss in upper cooking. In their Laudatio stressed Angela Gorr, chairman of the promotion association of the university resin, the outstanding achievement of the winner. So itself graduate Christian Herker with support of scientists of the pathological institute of the Ludwig Maximilian university Munich had into the special characteristics of cancer fabric, which trains development of this tumor and anatomy, in order to understand the goal of the pattern recognition. Special creativity proved the winner with the development and application of the image analysis algorithms, so that for example organ borders or increased cell cores are recognized.

After his practice term Christian Herker a smooth occupation entrance succeeded to automation IFF Magdeburg as scientific coworkers at the institute for Fraunhofer for factory and -, where he concerns himself now with the automation of biological laboratories.
