Energy symposium, 13.12.2006 in Berlin in the context of the annual members' meeting of the general association textil+mode

- in the context of its annual members' meeting the general association of the German textile and mode industry organizes an energy symposium with considerable advisers. The symposium will take place to 13.12.2006 around 16:00 clock in the Rocco Forte hotel de Rome in Berlin.

Energy can buy everyone - look ever more moneys, as the prognoses. But increased financial energy costs can not afford many enterprises of the textile and the clothing industry - with those it to approximately 90 per cent around small and medium-size enterprises acts -, if they want to remain world-wide competitive further at the location Germany.

With the energy costs snapped by competition lacking up under any circumstances the attractiveness and profitability of the local location do not increase unnecessarily. The result are insolvencies, drifts and thus the loss of jobs.

The general association textil+mode regards it as its task as interest agency to one of the most important branches of industry of Germany to make attentive also publicly on the coming effects of the rising energy costs. We could win adept advisers from politics and the federation level, in order to discuss the topic energy in a panel discussion controversially and productively under special Bercksichtung of the effects on the textile and the clothing industry in Germany.

The general association of the German textile and mode industry registered association represents this industry in economics, social and tariff-political questions. Altogether approx. 400,000 employees, busy of it more than 120,000 in Germany, are in the textile and mode industry. The general association is member Federal Employers Association and the BDI. On European level the membership in the European roof federation of the textile and the clothing industry, Euratex insists.
