- the European commission presented recently an European Union width public opinion poll, which reflected the attitude of the Verbraucherinnen and consumers to kind-fair animal husbandry in the agriculture. In all member states of the European Union 25,000 Verbraucherinnen and consumer were asked. 57 per cent of the asked ones avowed itself ready to pay a higher price for food from kind-fair animal husbandry. 74 per cent of the participants were the conviction to be able to promote by their respective purchase decision kind-fair animal husbandry. Only it sieves per cent of the asked ones held the opinion that animal protection takes a too high value. This current inquiry shows that the consumers attach great importance during their purchase decision on animal husbandry and thus to the meat quality.
