Acknowledgment by the UBA in Dessau necessarily - with the entry into force of the environment law auxiliary law environmental federations of more complaint rights in environmental protection get. They can proceed for example against the permission of an industrial plant or a road, if the permission from its view contradicts determined regulations of the environment law. In order to be allowed, need the federations complain however an acknowledgment. This gives the Federal Office for Environment Protection (UBA) in Dessau. With the environment law auxiliary law Germany creates improved legal protection possibilities for environmental federations. These can become active now in larger measure than lawyer for environmental protection. Beside already so far the nature protection federations - they could make already certain offences against nature protection right before court valid -, entitled to suit after nature protection right, there are extended complaint possibilities now also for environmental federations. Environmental federations and - unites step with it no longer only than lawyers for the nature protection up, but also for environmental protection altogether - for example for the protection of the water, air, the soil or the human health for instance before noise.

Environmental federations can let official permissions examine for example for the establishment of industrial plants, plants for the waste incineration or energy production, large animal mast enterprises as well as to road construction by courts. Completely importantly: The environmental federations do not have to be affected any more - as usual in the German right usually - by an authority measure, in order to know certain injuries of the environment law rgen. Citizens and citizens have now with the environmental federations strong partners for the penetration of their rights. The federations can make themselves strong for environmentalrelevant rights of the citizens and citizens.

In order to use the new legal possibilities, a federation needs the previous acknowledgment by the UBA in Dessau. The UBA examines among other things, whether the environmental combination promotes persisting and predominantly goals of environmental protection, non-profit purposes pursued as well as the guarantee for an adequate task fulfilment offers. The UBA recommends after nature protection right to recognized associations also already to request the acknowledgment after the environment law auxiliary law with the UBA.
